Portflow tested some Eibach springs for me, they did not bind until 14mm
Seat pressure was not excessive either.

Yep, they make valve springs. Seen their machines with my own eyes when I was invited over to check out stuff over there.
Ryan at Eibach is way cool!

I have tried Eibach springs and found them to be within 5 lbs of the good Crowers and SuperTechs. As far as I know, they do not offer retainers with their springs. I feel that is a negative.

Stock retainers? They are heavier so do not perform as well as titanium. But with titanium you need a very tight fit to the spring so that the titanium does not gall. That is what I prefer about SuperTech...very tight fit between the spring and retainer. It would help if Eibach would offer matching retainers.

There is also the possibility to TiN coat the retainers to prevent galling, anybody have any thoughts about this?
Here's a link to a company that performs this coating: http://www.brycoat.com/

Something is gonna gall if there is relative movement between the retainer and the spring.
Stock retainers are so hard that they wear the spring! when the valves are floated over a long period of time.
