the sohc zc is essentially a Z6. So your answer is yes. and it does have vtec, which that link that someone posted above, didnt list.

the SOHC ZC vtec is the jdm d15b it came out of 92-95 civics in Japan . . . . if you dont believe me . . .

http://asia.vtec.net/article/d15b/

it puts out roughly 130ps which is approx 129 hp. I have this motor in my hatch and the engine code on the block reads : ZC

Look man, I've argued this topic a million times. TRUE there is a 1.6 JDM motor thats considered to be a ZC besides the PGM-Fi and dual carb DOHC's (hell, theres even a SOHC dual carb), however it's engine code has always been labeled d16a. The SOHC ZC Vtec is a 1.5 130 ps producing motor, labeled as ZC. That's right . . . . big Z big C = ZC (1.5 sohc vtec aka the d15b vtec)

The power the motor you think that your thinking of (125 ps) is found in the following link and is found in lots of different models. The d15b (SOHC ZC Vtec) is only pulled from Eg civics. I've read these two a thousand times. on the 130 ps versions, note the car and years it was pulled from in both articles, AND PLEASE read both very carefully, and you should find your answer(s).

Let's go through the years of the ZC both DOHC and SOHC shall we??? PAY ATTENTION class there will be a quiz after the lesson

1984 Honda made the 1st Gen DOHC ZC mostly Brown Top both in Fuel Injected and carb'd. The Fuel Injected 1G DOHC ZC is the 86-89 Integra engine but rated slightly higher (notice I said RATED higher-DOESN'T mean it makes more or less POWER)

In 87/88 Honda made the the 2nd Gen DOHC ZC for "Si" badged cars and some Integra variants both fuel injected and carb'd and also a NUMBER of SOHC ZC again in both fuel injected and carb'd (these are the D16A6 with diff intake manifold, exh mani, cam and ECU.

1992 entered the OBD-1 era with a number of different ZC's available
again starting with the Fuel INjected DOHC ZC offered in the special edition Civic some Integras as well as some HONDA DOMANI

The SOHC ZC NON VTEC was offered during this time period but aside from running the OBD-1 it's the same engine as the 88-91 SOHC ZC even runs 1 wire 02 sensor.
The other SOHC ZC came equipped with VTEC, which ran just like the USDM D16Z6 minus the 4 wire 02 sensor.

The D15B SOHC VTEC came out around the same time other than the internal displacement diff it came equipped with the same harware as the SOHC ZC VTEC

the 96 engines came with OBD-2
The SOHC ZC non vtecs came as D16Y7's with the P2K intake manifold
I have yet to see a JDM SOHC VTEC 96 and up but I'm guessing they're the same as the D16Y8 USDM
The D15B 2 or 3 stage VTEC (depending on how you look at it) also came in at this time
