Post Pics of your OBDI Conversion!
I'm right in the middle of swapping my CRX to OBDI and I just need to see a few pics of how the distributor is sitting on someone elses car...2 of the ears are lining up but the third is not...so post your pics please!
sounds like you have the wrong distributor. The distributor not lining up is a separate issue from the fact that you did a conversion.
what engine are you swapping in? the engine you're putting in should look exactly like it does in the car it originally came out of. The dist will bolt up exactly the same...since you should be using the dist that originally came on that motor.
If you're putting an obd1 distributor on a motor that was originally obd0.... make sure you have the right year dist, make sure its for the right series engine (b vs d), and make sure its correct in terms of vtec vs non vtec (on b series engines - and maybe d series - the distributors are different between the vtec and nonvtec engines because of the vtec solenoid placement...thus if you have a vtec engine you need a dist from a vtec engine, if you have a non vtec engine you need a dist from a non vtec engine).
Not sure if that answered your problem though...if not please give some more details about your swap and I or someone should be able to point you in the right direction.

yup, the only reason its not lining up is because of this

colin, the obd1 d dists are different than the obd0 d dists. its fucked but thats how it is. People with minimes and sohc vtec swaps running obd1 have the same problem.
96-ej6, you have the right dist.
Ben

ben, cool, thanks for the info, I wasn't 100% sure about that.....and figured there was a good chance he was dealing w/ a b series swap anyway (since he didn't specify).
So the pre 92 and 92+ sohc d series heads have different distributor bolt setups? Good to know

**** I'm an idiot!!!!!!!!
I had that damn thing clocked wrong. It bolts right up...all three line up perfectly. Now I'm just battling code 9 (#1 cly pos sensor) and the O2 code, but the o2 code is just because I'm still using the AEM WB and not a normal 4 wire.

wait, what motor are you running???
And taht code 9 is in teh dizzy, could ahve a bad one. But if your running a d16z6, you need the d16z6 dizzy, not a non vtec one.

Yeah it's just the A6...I figured it out (wrong ECU)...My P06 is already socketed so it woulddn't work so I tried an OBDI DOHC ZC ECU and it was throwing code 9, then I tried an OBDI Integra LS ECU and that one worked good except for the idle surging...so back to OBD0 for now until I get the rom burner and can burn the chip for my P06.
