a/c making car overheat while idling/in traffic
Yes, I have spent lots of time searching here and other forums and cannot find my situation anywhere.
When I first turn my a/c on the condenser fan comes on likes its supposed to. After its been on for a little while (5-8 minutes) and I'm not driving above 40-50 the car will start to overheat. I've pulled over and poped my hood and the condenser fan isn't on anymore. I've been told that my condenser fan motor may be going out, but why would it come on in the first place then if its not working? If someone has had this happen to them and knows exactly what was wrong I would really appreciate what ever info you got.
TIA

probably should go through the entire cooling system, thermostat, hoses, rad, fan, water pump...maybe a flush then add good coolant, then bleed it good add more..get a new rad cap...good luck
start with bleeding it it's easy and its free let the cooling system get up to pressure then crack the 10mm nut near the back of the head and wait till fluid only comes out
