D16Z6 and D16Y8?

Bit of a newb question but I've finally aquired a head for my single cam project and I was wondering what's the difference between a D16Z6 and a D16Y8? Is it the different heads on the EG and EK chassis? Thanx.

Combustion chambers are different. The y8 head is the better one to go with. Higher compression to start with.

^he's correct the y8 has a smaller combustion chamber making higher compression.

So I'm assuming the 96-2000(EK) are the Y8's and the Z6 is the 92-95 (EG)?
