Will Axxis Ultimate fit JDM Brake pads?
Hi guys,
I am in Tokyo and is time to change the brake pads. I read the achieve and see that many people on this site like the Axxis Ultimate. I would also like to try it but looks like it is only available in the states. I am going to Vancouver next week, and am thinking to pick up those pads while I am there.
Do you guys know whether those will fit 98 spec JDM ITR or not??

Thanks!!

They should, as far as I know, the JDM 98 spec brakes and USDM are the same...
Great pads, I've had em for about 20K miles now - they work good hot or cold. Only problem is they seem to dust alot (but that's not really a big deal).
You can order a set from here:

98spec R has the same calipers as the CTR, which are also the same as the USDM ITR (all year). So yeah I think those would fit.
The safest way is to bring an old pad with you when you visit Canada (just one is good enough) and compare it with the US spec brake pads.
I'm pretty sure it would fit.

Alan, u do realize Endless is discounted like 30-35% at most shops in Japan?
Try Hirano Tire in Adachi-ku or maybe Crystal in Inage-ku (Chiba).

98 specs are good in that you'll have wide variety to choose from. I'm in the process of deciding too, but I heard that AXXIS really chew through rotors quickly. I am leaning towards OEM, Lockheed, or Project Mu...and Maybe even Endless (at a lesser degree)
BTW, let me know if you wanna hook up...22nd is bad for me but any other day is OK. I'll introduce you to my mechanic!
Thanks!!

I have had the Axxis Ultimates for a year (i think) and with no signs of chewing thru the rotors. My rotors are 48k miles old and had one
resurfacing at 22k......
I would reccomend them to anyone who wants more without going to a "race spec" pad.

I went to Super AutoBacs and the price of those pads are a bit higher than the Axxis. Also, the staff says those pads from endless are quite noisy.... so I did not really want them.
Are the Axxis noisy too?

Well chit you shouldn't be going to SA anyhow; their prices are outrageous (at least the one in Shinonome was); probably the only time I walked into a tuning parts store in Japan and didn't buy a damn thing

Not a sound out of mine, I have heard that some people have some noise but I would think they are having issues other then the pads.
