Default Suspension for the RSX-S

i was thinking that I really want to do my RSX really well. I want it to be not done half-assed. So i was thinking, the first thing i want to do to it is lower it. I was wondering, since im still in school and not working a whole lot, should I buy the Skunk2 Coilovers (250-300) or should I save and get some Tein full suspension(around 1200)?

I really dont want to drive a completly stock car for all of summer and some of the school year.

Yeah, I'm also doing my suspension, and i dont want to do it half ***. I was thinking about getting the a-spec suspension, but now i decide to get the tein ss or flex and go from there.

If you don't want to spend alot on suspension get the JDM Rear ITR sway bar and save up for mugen ss or tein flexes.

If you're planning on keeping the car for a while I would probably save and get the setup you want.

Probably price.

Personally I wouldn't getting Tein springs if you want real coilovers, go all out and get the real Tein suspension.

skunk2/eibach with kyb is a nice combo for a lower price.

heres some info on Tein Basic

thanx a bunch guys. i think i can afford the Tein Type S.S. Damper, but I was wondering, if I got the Basic Dampers and bought a pillow ball moutn seperatly, would it be as close as the same goodness? Even though it is still in devolopment, it would only be aroun 750-800$, saving 400 from the S.S.

Don't try to imitate something. if you want the SS just save for it. the valving for the shock could be different.

That's like putting a Type R sticker on a Type S. Won't be the same. If you want to go thrifty and just get some springs, go with Progress. They designed their springs to work with the stock shocks.

Move to the NYC. and some tein flexes would be the farthest thing from a possibility like James Brown singing the hook on the next 50 cent single....

What are you talking about man? California has and still does the worst roads in America. We have to many cars. but there are still people who fix them up.
