basically i have the option of buying a glass roof crx, which has been crash damaged.. it would need to be broke, and was wondering if people in the states buy parts like that...

you've got to be kidding me. I would love a glass roof. but the fab work necessary to fit it in correctly would be next to impossable to duplicate me thinks.

any other thoughts on the fab work?

 

I think you have to cut the enitre roof off along with the pillars for the glass to fit.

I read it somewhere, you cant just cut a whole in the oem usdm body because the slope is different or the supports dont work, something like that

Definetely ould do it if it could be ahd for 1500 or less

 

The roof is welded inbetween the pillars, if the welds were removed, the roof would be independent from the sides, allowing the glass top roof to be welded in.
