Civic Si seat id please help! 88? 89? 90? 91?
Just wondering if anyone can help me identify what year Civic Si seat this is from (see image below)? I bought this (along with the rest of the front seat) hoping it would fit in my 89 Civic Si hatchback but the mounting holes on rails don't line up at all.
The guy I bought these from swears it's from an 89 Civic Si hatchback. I swear my car is an 89 Si and my VIN checks out and confirms it is an 89 Si [VIN 2HGED7369KH5xxxxx]. My car's front seat mounting holes are closer together (right to left, seems to be about 13" apart) and these are defintely wider apart. No seat belts attached to seat so I'm guessing this is from an 88(?!?).
From the photo, the distance from:
A to B is 15"
A to C is 17 3/4"
B to D is 14 1/8"
C to D is ~17 1/2"
Mounting hole C mounts higher than the other holes. Hole D seems to mount directly flat to the floor of the car. Holes A & B mount to the side of the front ridge on the floor of the car. Hope this makes sense.
Any help greatly appreciated. Could this be from an 88 Civic hatchback? 90 or 91 Civic Si hatchback? If anyone has an 89 Civic Si, I was wondering if you can measure the distance between the front right and front left mounting holes and email me?
I really appreciate any and all help. This is a great forum.
thanks

I agree, it's an 88-89 CRX seat.

My 88 Crx Si has equal bolt spacing. i think its 17 front to back and 14 side to side. Not sure on the exact numbers but i know its equal, I measure it like 1 mo ago.
That sucks. Now I noticed that the headrest doesn't elevate (which is a CRX Si seat), but why do the CRX seats have the vinyl pocket on the back of the seat? Maybe just as a storage pocket I suppose.
I posted a few more images of the seats, first one has the cloth pattern. The second one shows the front of the seats, and the last one shows the side/back of the seat.
Grrrrr... I'll have to get back to the guy that sold me these bum seats. What a mess.
Thanks again to everyone for posting and helping me out. You guys are very cool. This is a great place.

note how the seat pattern does not continue all the way up to the headrest. 88Si for sure. might even be a canada model.
