i've been at work tryin to remove the rotor to put on a new one and i cant seem to get to the screw. i've been crankin on the engine, but i cant get it to stop in the right spot. i also heard cranking it without the cap is bad because the power has no where to go except back in the dizzy and can fry ur igniter..is this true?should i just make a mark where the dizzy is and take it off so i can get to the rotor screw easier?
TIA
TIA
There is a low spot on the cover below the rotor. I think its perpendicular to the firewall and on the intake side. Just unplug the distributor before you crank it and if you cant get it to align just turn the engine over by hand. Or you can get it close and put the car in first gear and rock the car back and forth and itll move around for you.
