Default Cleaning up engine bay

So I was cleaning up my engine bay today, trying to take out **** that I don't need and just polish things up, here's the final product (hopefully imagestation doesn't own me)

When I was done sure enough it looked cleaner but it still looks very crowded. It's a 98 gsr swapped into my DA, but I've seen a lot of swapped cars (mostly civics) that the engine bays look empty and clean. I like that look a lot and I've been trying to do that with mine but it just hasn't been working lol. Any advice or help?
Here's what I mean

I've removed the AC, PS, and all the lines that go with it. Removed the PS fluid tank and bracket, and a few other tiny things. I'm planning on getting a optima battery and relocating it to the trunk, getting an ITR valve cover with the spark plug cover, and a cai, but it's still gonna look crowded. What else can I do?
Thanks

Relocate your battery.
Tuck engine fuse block behind the firewall.
Route headlamp/turn signal harnesses through wheel wells or fenders.

Other than that, it gets technical.

In them pics they have all wires and **** ran throught the fenders. Most of the time they dont have all the vacuum lines because of standalone ECU i believe. VAcuum stuff takes up alot of space with all the sensors and what not. you can get rid of ABS remove all of that if you wish. U think ur bay is crowded try having a lude

The green Civic uses a regular p28 ECU, most of the wires are "rerouted" but not through the fenders. DOHC GARAGE did the work, JDM_JON is a wiring guru

Well, it's how he makes his money, so I think he keeps it under wraps. He has kick *** pricing, and is a freak for detail, excellent work. I just got my car back from him, and I'm really happy with the result.

make everything 1 color. Leave the Valve cover red. and all your hoses and everything like that BLACK. it will look more simple and more of a lay out then looking at a red house then a black back round

like the other guy said , relocate the battery or get one of those smaller ones . you should also get rid of the red hoses , they are eye catching and make it look cluttered . know what i mean ?

also maybe get rid of the cruise control and the windshield washer bottle . do you use those often ? i know i didnt .

you should start by painting the engine bay the same color as the body. and following it up w/ spark plug wires cover.

two steps closer to cleaner engine bay. there's a lot more to list, but i'm way lazy.

i dont know how civic frame rails are...
but in the vw world, a lot of the harneses are rerouted through the frame rails or behind the rain tray.

but, if you want to be the gulliest of gangstas, you have to removed your rain tray as well and find another way to hide wires.

por ejemplo:

what it looks like stock...

after smoothing, shaving, and deleting the rain tray, and chroming, and plating etc. etc...

what seems liek the most annoying thing with the vw's are the coolant lines...
hondas dont have stringy coolant lines, so that saves a lot.

I worked a little bit on it today
before pic:

today:

removed pieces: cruise control, window washer bottle, ps bottle, red hoses, random un-needed brackets and bolts

I took the red hoses off the throttle and clutch cable and then tucked the cables down. Also took out a couple wire clips (they were big and green) and then tucked the wire loom down out of site.

The driver's side is looking much better, now I gotta relocate the battery and stuff like that for the other side. Tomorrow I'm gonna relocate the radiator overflow tank and see what else I can do.

Now someone suggested removing the ABS, is that ok? Do I need to plug any lines? What all do I need for that? Thanks
