Well, if you have more than one header....I doubt it.

I don't know how much the CKF sensor will affect your smog, but I would certainly get that checked out. Should it not be the sensor that is bad, and the sensor is actually sensing something wrong with the crank, that could be bad.

I guess to know for certain, you'll have to get the car SMOG checked and find out. If it doesn't pass, aren't there things you can add to the fuel and it will supposedly help you pass? Plus, it's a snap to install the factory intake.

I would recommend just fixing the problem. I believe some smog places wont smog the car if there are CEL's

u wont pass if u have a CEL on...the intake and exhaust should be fine...i failed with my DC headers...i would fix the CEL and put on the stock headers before going to smog it.

Oh yeah, totally forgot about that. ^^^ He's right. They may not even check it if the CEL is on.

Did you pull the code for sure to see what it is?

Code 65 is the secondary O2 sensor circuit.

If I were you, I'd re-check to see what code it is throwing.

With the headers, it's probably a combination of things. I would imagine most likely. Thin guage steel as used in these headers lets the heat escape. So the exhuast charge is not as hot as it should be. Either the cat is not working properly, the car wasn't run hot enough before smogging, or if it's a high-flow cat which will probably never pass smog either. It very well could be something else is wrong too.
As for your CEL. Maybe with any luck the smog tech will disreguard the light or not see it. But he's not supposed to pass a car with a CEL.
