i'm thinking about importing ef8 crx sir for parts need some help
i have a 89 hf and i just want so many of the goodies from an sir that i'm thinking about importing one, i know i can't get it titled here easily so i'm thinking about puting every thing i can from the sir into my crx, first question i have the door mounted seat belt, so is there any way to put the door panels from the sir on my car with modifications, second question how do i put that glass top on my crx, i've got to have the glass top its so dope. third how much do you think i should sell the rolling shell for w/ no interior except the dash, and no engine or transmission.
1. you cannot use jdm door panels w/ door mounted seatbelts. you'll have to remove the seatbelt system (for lack of a better term) under the stock door panel, and use harnesses of some-sort.
2. you'll have to find a reputable shop to cut + weld your roof...i haven't seen too many people do this.
3. you can give me the rolling chassis for free.

i was gonna say, i thought 89 hf's had pillar mounted, anyways, es, the door panals should work with the pillar mounted belts. And use the front end too, that would be nice...

does any one know if you can import to canada get a title then import to the us and get a title, or how its possible to title it in the us without spending too much $ btw i'm in texas
The only way we get them to Canada legally is because there 15+ years old or something. They dont pass emissions here so they definetely wouldnt pass in the US, I dont think it can happen.
Id just swap all the parts over
I know Im going to be loving RHD

First off it shouldnt be very hard to import since your just going to use it as a parts car. The hard part is your going to have to have it cut in half or have the motor and the car come seperetly to get it through customs. The glass top has to be cut and welded on to where your old roof is. If you just have the glass only your SOLed. You need the whole roof cut at like the pillers for it to work.
