ok do civic dx y-7 have an knock sensor on them

The knock sensor is on the back off the block. It will be above your ouil filter and to the left. To remove it you will need a 1 1/6 socket.

the y7 does not have knock sensor. there is however a threaded boss at the top of the block to thread one in if you have reason to

In OBD2, only the EX and Si had knock sensors along with a 2 wire IACV.
