Wierd Metal Scraping Sound (Clutch?)
I recently installed a new OEM GSR clutch. When I am driving in 5th gear, around 60 mph maybe 2500-3500 rpm range, not really sure, I press the gas and metal scraping sound is coming from somewhere. Let off the gas- it goes away. Step on the gas - sound comes back etc. The sound dosnt always reappear. What could it be?
i have had this problem before actually... then it slowly went away... i hope to god it wasnt the clutch : ( Hmm it could be actually... it sounds more like a rattling though, and mine only happens at 2200 rpms... every time it will rattle at 2200 rpms... The rattling sounds a lil dif than the scraping, i thought it was something hard in the break pads that you occasionally get. Anyways bump for a solution/answer.
Edit: I was also told by a shop that the rattling noise was an exhaust hanger... but it was coming from the engine bay so i duno.
