Default noise from car when driving please help

heya guys and gals

i have a 97 civic

and i noticed a grinding noise or something, i can't explain it it sounds like something rubbing hard core, i used to think it was cuz my drop was retardedly low

but when i lifted it up i still heard it

i tried changing my shifter too
sound went away for a short while but it came back

its like a rubbing sound kinda metal sounding? could be grinding

it happens when driving

like say if i start from a stop like at a light or in a parking lot, or low RPMs

like say im driving in 1st, its there and when i shift to 2nd its there and when i push the gas more it goes away
and 3rd as well
and when im slowing down, i let off the gas and begin to downshift etc
its mad crazy while slowing down

but if i push gas a little bit it goes away

car is currently using a ACT stage2 clutch so i dont know if its from that,
i talked to a coworker and he said its not clutch chatter, ud hear it when its in neutral.

in neutral i have no sound except engine and exhaust.

any ideas?

You sure it isn't an exhaust heat shield rattling?
