i got a speeding ticket the other day cause i was following the speed of the car in front of me thinking it was going the speed limit. my speedo is not working currently working. i have a gsr dash in my eg. does anyone know how to fix my speedo? also can anyone tell me how fast i am going by the rpm and gear i am in. i have a b20 with gsr tranny. can anyone help me?

 

check to see if your speed sensor on top of ur trans is connected

 

You have to factor in gear ratio, gear, and overall tire diameter to calculate your speed. you've only provided 1/2 the equation

 

You put in a GSR cluster and making sure your speedo worked wasnt the first thing on your list????

 

i have gsr rims so thats the tire size. gear ratio is why i said i have a gsr tranny.

LOL serious gs-r rims do not = a tire size.
So your rims are 15'' in diameter, do you run tires? The last time I checked tires add diameter to wheels.
195/50/15? = 22.6''
195/55/15? = 23.4''
205/50/15? = 23.07
225/50/15? 23.8''

Quick way to check is to barrow a hand held GPS system from a friend. It will give you a speed reeding if you travel at a constant speed for a while.

or you could do it the getto way and get a friend with a stock car and ride beside him on the interstate and have him call on a cell phone you and tell you how fast you're going.
