Default overbore(0.25mm) ctr pistons in ITR???

I'm planning to intstall overbored 0.25mm ctr pistons in my ITR. My mechanic says that the compression would be too high, resulting in detonation or knocking. I'm using the Spoon 0.4mm head gasket. Can anybody give me some advice here?

Also, if I stroked to 2000cc, they also mentioned that I need either Haltech, Hondata or Apexi Power FC cos my Spoon street ECU & VAFC couldn't supply enough fuel to the combustion chambers, even though if I changed to H22 fuel injectors & fuel pump. Advice needed too on this matter.

If you run CTR OB0.25 Pistons then your compression will bumps up to 12.3:1. The Spoon ECU may become useless. A reprogramed ECU will work for you.
Stock ITR injectors will max out at 210whp so I think they are good enough. It is not a bad idea to get a larger fuel pump.

Please tell me whether CTR pistons with Spoon 0.4mm head gasket will result to detonation. What does you mean by reprogrammed ECU. Which ECU do you mean. Why does my Spoon ECU doesn't works anymore??? Will changing to another ecu eliminates detonation? Please tell me what to do if I install CTR pistons with Spoon head gasket.

CTR pistons with Spoon gasket is not a good setup with 91 octane fuel . With stock head gasket , your CR will be 12.3:1 and a reprogrammed ECU will work good without detonation problems. I still suggest to run std bore CTR pistons.

lets see ctr pistons in a itr are around 12:1 that thinner headgasket will bump it up another. 3 pts or so.

You can keep the ecu and use a VAFC to richen up your pulse width for your injectors. Invest in a good af guage like a halmeter af30 to constantly monitor your engine.

You ll like 12:1 compression for sure I guarantee that, but considering you can only get 91 octane that may be pushing it. I have 12.5:1 compression and run on 93 octane over here. I retarded my timing some, have a skunk ecu with a vafc. I have no detonation problems what so ever. oh yea here's a shocker, i run stock injectors and a stock fuel pump. It can be done. Just has to be tuned for it.
