setting my b&m fpr
Okay well I just recently got my swap back and the Technician set my B&M Fuel Pressure at 32 on idol, and 42 when vacum hose is off? He said its right, but it seems kinda low... because I had my car on 42 at idol before..
What should it be at?
What should it be at?
Yeah but what do I set it at..
My car is B18B1 bottom with B16 Head?
Do I have it set right at 32psi with hose on, or should it be up more because its vtec head now?

We can just tell you what to set your fuel pressure at. It's all relative to your setup and your current A/F ratio. Stock fuel pressure should be around 34-36 under vacuum and 38-40 atmospheric. **edit** correct stock fuel pressure levels are above.
I've got the B&M FPR on mine, and it is 43 under vacuum and 46-48 atmospheric.
I'm personally going to ditch the B&M here soon and get a different unit that is a 'rising rate' FPR. This is only because I am turbocharged, so I want the pressure in the fuel system to overcome the pressure going into the motor.
Anyways...back on topic...as simple as the fuel pressure regulator seems, in order for it to properly work with whatever your setup is, you need to take it to a dyno and tune it according to your A/F curve.

dyno is the key. my built gs-r is @ 42psi under vacuum and @ 61psi wot (atmospheric). it's been tuned 3 different times by 3 different tuners and that is the only thing that has never changed.
