Default ? on cleaning spoon header...

I installed this header a couple of months ago and the primaries have what seems to be a coating on it which is giving it a rough surface, unlike the rest of the header which has turned a nice golden color...

I don't know if this is from oils from my hands during installation, but I was wondering what I could do to remove this...it appears that it would scratch off, but I don't want to scrape up the header doing this...if anyone knows of a product that will help, let me know...please also include a place to obtain it (locally preferred, but will order online if I have to)

thanks....

or Brasso .... http://www.brasscompass.com/brasso.htm

My dad uses that **** all the time (he makes custom **** out of sheet metal all the time), works wonders. Next time I'm down there, I'll grab a can from him if you want.

Mine is s nice purple blue minus of course any fingerprints.

We cleaned it before installation so no pirnts but it is ALL purple and blue like a 60's hallucination...

My buddy Rodneys is all bronze and shiny. His turned purple too the first time he had it on, then he removed it and polished it up and now it really looks nice.

I personally don't care about it. I'm just satisfied with what it does.

A.

I'm happy w/ the performance, I just don't want it to cause problems later down the road w/ rusting...the surface feels rough...guess i'm just paranoid

Brasso

Get something that works chemically (ala Tarn-X) or that lists "stainless steel". "Kleen-King" works great on nasty SS sinks - outta work on your pipes. I've used it on my Mugen twin-loop can to great effect...
