Default MY NEW RIDE! B18C SWAP PENDING! A FEW QUESTIONS WITH PICTURES INSIDE.

Hey guys, picked up this biatch a couple days ago. Its a 1992 DX HB 5 speed with 146,000 miles. Some old guy had it and took good care of it, since I sold my GSR a couple years ago boy did I missed the feel of a great Honda!

Anyways, off to the questions!!!!

I have figured out most of the wire harness part out, The engine is an OBD2 USDM B18C1.

I'm purchasing a P72 OBD1 ECU at the moment.

Well first question starts off with the MAP sensor. On my EG the MAP sensor is located on the firewall, on the B18C its located on the TB. Do I simply unplug the the one on the B18 and plug in the stock D15 map sensor plug to it?

Next question is regarding the Charcoal Canister.
I am pretty sure that this hose right here on my B18C goes on the Canister.

How do I use the stock EG's charcoal Canister, it seems like it has one big hose that goes to the TB, then two smaller vaccum hoses to the Intake Manifold?

My last question is about the motor mounts. When I got the B18C swap it came with just the two main side mounts. I'm missing the rear bracket, and the two front support mounts (transmission bracket,AC bracket)

I know for sure I can use the STOCK GSR side mounts, but I need the rear lower bracket mount. LAST QUESTION is can I use the two front mounts pictured above from my D15 on the B18C? I am not going to be using AC so the AC compressor mounting is not an issue. Feel free to contribute ANY help, I would appreciate it very MUCH thank you!

nice find! from the pictures the car looks to be in pretty good condition.

Regarding the motor mounts, you need the integra drivers side upper mount and rear mount bracket. You also need integra torque mounts (the two front mounts you are wondering about). If you want to keep AC, get the Del Sol VTEC 93-95 AC Mount Bracket (P54).

Also, the hose you are wondering about does go to the charcoal canister.

For the MAP sensor, I am pretty sure you want to use the existing plug on your car and plug that to the MAP sensor on the integra's throttle body. The wires should stretch. Another way around this is to use the Integra plug on the integra harness and then rewire the firewall harness to meet the MAP signal at the strut tower connectors instead of where it is on the firewall.

pretty sure you still need to have your AC mount though you are not using AC because it helps hold the motor in place. I know on EK the motor will move like crazy and hit the hood if the AC mount isn't connected. I am sure someone with a Bseries swap in an EG will confirm this for you. By the way, on the condition of the car.

yes, please run with BOTH torque mounts. Not having those mounts can lead to other mounts failing prematurely...

Thanks so I CAN use the stock EG's Charcoal Canister with the Swap, How do the hoses go? I know where the big hose connects to but on the canister there is two small vaccum hoses that goes to the D15's intake manifold, where do they go on the GSR motor? Thanks!

just install it without the black canister. where there is holes coming from the manifold.. plug them up. and you're good to go.

i would use the map on the integra TB. looks better than the one on the wall. and plus you wouldnt have a dummy map on the tb if u used your existing map sensor. but its your call. clean motor, clean bay mang

buy a chipped P28, and get a skunk 2 manifold. but if you plan on keeping the stock gsr manifold, then look for a p72 ecu.

in regards to the mounts I have a B18C1 in my EJ when the swap was done they ghettoized the "D" series drivers side mount to make it work with the "B"... My question is I finally got a "B" series mount the one you see here>
how does that mount, mount to my frame?

Engine bay is clean as hell...

Oh and I think I'd move the eg map sensor to the B18C1 spot....
