Default can 100+ octane hurt my motor?

motor is a 2000 JDM B18C-R in an EG-- stock internals, P28 mugen chipped ECU...im running obd1 if that matters...trackin on wednesday and want to fill up with 100+ octane instead of the cheap 91 here in CA.....any possible problems i could run into by doing this?....02 sensor?...thanks

As long as its unleaded,it wont urt your engine.But,it will slow you down if your compression isnt high enough.

if it's too high of octane...it'll burn too slow on stock timing and basically get tossed out your muffler

and yes, it can hurt your engine...if there is an abundance of raw fuel left in the cylinder it can acutally eat the oil off the sleeves and lead to scuffing...

Just for curiousity's sake I did a comparison between 91 octane and ~96 octane(estimate of what was in the tank then added 100 octane, figured out from there) I lost 5whp. My car was tuned for 91 octane with a Hondata...I knew that I would lose power, just wasn't aware of how much.

y0 austin what up man....i autocrossed with u back in october in the ESCA event....had a white EG with slips....stock at the time....i need to start attending the meetings...

it can because like someone said above it does not vapoize like normal 91 and well on the exhaust side it can cause it to feel like hydrolock becuase of the heat it need to have to take full use of that kind of fuel. someone correct me I hate expalining things.

oh and plugs can get messed up if it is leaded octane.

i thought since he has a jdm engine it would be more suited to higher octane fuels.
