first time dragging

Default first time dragging

i own a 99 si with only comptech header, intake and exhaust and was plannning on dragging it just to get some numbers. my question is, the race gas we have access to here is 110 octane and would i see any benifit of using this, more importantly will it be ok for my car. thanks!

they are both correct this is why also.

you only need enough octane to not detonate.
the way it keeps from detonating is slowing down the burn rate. so if you dont have a car with high compression, n20, boost or an *** load of timming, your stock engine will be burning the fuel even slower than normal, making less power.
