I hydrolocked my car, replacing short block...questions.
So I hydrolocked my car the other night in a really shitty storm, I could not see the ocean in the street in front of me (no street lights due to power outages). Anyway I had a spare h22 long block in my garage with a bad head. Assuming my head is fine; what all gaskets/bearings/and what not should I replace just to get my car running again and last for say 25k mi? The other block I have (the one that will be goin into my car) has approx 140k mi on it.
Get upper and lower gasket sets for it.
and i would replace the timing belt and water pump
while you have it all dissesembled

I have learned the easiest thing to do is just buy the complete set, it saves time from running back and forth to the parts store for the gasket. Plus some gaskets you can't buy at parts stores or are hard to find, which will most likely be in the gasket set.
