itb's and high fuel pressue?
i saw many people with sohc's and cbr f4i individual throttle bodies but they needed a lot of tuning. i heard one guy was running [not sure which one] but it was either 40psi or 80psi of fuel pressure while using the ITB's. would larger injectors put more fuel into the motor while being able to bring the fuel pressure to a optimum running/ daily driving pressure? any ideas?
thanks
thanks
Depeneding on the fuel managment and size of the injector and how much power the engine was making would dictate size of injector. So basically if you were running out of injector you would turn up the pressure and adjust the map from there. so pressure is relevent but kinda hard to say unless yo knew the size of the injector and how much power the car made.
ceLtic (8:57 PM 5/10/2004): so the bigger injectors would be "necessary" to run the itb's on a single cam even though im only pumping out 120-150 whp on a fairly stock motor?
TEAMGENDAI (8:57 PM 5/10/2004): YES AND NO
TEAMGENDAI (8:58 PM 5/10/2004): BASICALLY YOU WANT TO RUN ABOUT 70% DUTY CCYLE AT WOT THAT WOULD BE THE BEST ACHIEVED FOR YOU
TEAMGENDAI (8:59 PM 5/10/2004): SO LET SAY YOU MIGHT NEED SOME 270 280 CC INJECTORS @40PSI VS 240 @ 60 PSI TO ACHIEVE YOUR 70% DUTY CYCLE
TEAMGENDAI (8:59 PM 5/10/2004): GET IT
ceLtic (9:00 PM 5/10/2004): yes... so when i run stock injectors and 80psi. which is like what 180cc i would need to upgrade to around 270cc to bring the psi to around 40 for a 70% duty cycle right?
TEAMGENDAI (9:03 PM 5/10/2004): YUP
ceLtic (9:03 PM 5/10/2004): so with the itb install i would definitley need bigger injectors to tune properly.... sweet thanks!
TEAMGENDAI (9:04 PM 5/10/2004): NO PROB
ceLtic (9:05 PM 5/10/2004): another quick question. with the itb's on a fairly stock sohc with bigger injectors, can i expect a big gain just on injectors? iv'e seen people pump up the fuel psi on stock injectors, but never seen anyone with upgraded injectors. if they upgraded the injectors would there be more horsepower then the stock injectors at 80psi?
