Default strange noise

Im having a problem with my system. Everything was working fine untill I heard a thump over the system. Then it started getting some kind of interference noise through my subs. Its weird it sounds like a detuned radio with a bomb dropping making like a whistling noise. U can really hear it when I turn the volume on the HU down. You can hear the noise. So you can also hear the exhaust coming through the speakers unless we unplugged the RCA's. Everything with my system is new. The HU the amp the 12's and it just started like yesterday. I have only had it hooked up not even a week. We have tried new RCA cables, all the wiring, a isolater. Nothing stops the noise. We even hooked it up to my friends HU then it stopped. But Im just not wanting to accept its the HU. Also now we have a LP or a PL hooked up and it quitened it down. So now you can not hardly hear it unless you put your ear right up to the subs. So can this noise hurt anything and is there anyway to stop it all together? Even though now you can hardly hear it unless your ear is right on the subs. With the volume down on the HU. Cause the PL or LP whatever it is called helped. So now it can barely be heard. But I just dont want it to be heard at all. Cause I like my stuff to work like it should. Its a Pioneer 6400CD HU. Anyone heard any problems like that coming through the HU?

get higher quality RCA's and run them on the opposite side of where the power wire is. make sure your grounds are good

it may if it has a bad set of pre-amp outputs (RCA outs)

thats what I think is wrong with it. I may have to send it back to Pioneer which would really suck bad. But we used a PL or a LP something like that and it quitened down alot.

I have a pioneer 6400 Cd
I have 1500 Brutus Hifonics amp
2 12s
Xbox and 400 watt inverter

do you think all these things could cause my HU to bug out. Like its too much electronic equipment. Like we should try to ground the HU differently. Do you think it will hurt my system to keep using it like this? Also u can barely hear the sound unless your right next to the sub. With one ear covered intently listening with the trunk open and the volum down. should I still send the HU back.

There are three kinds of noise you can experience, thermal noise, induced noise, and noise caused by a ground loop.

Well do these types of interfernces bring different sounds. Cause mine just suddenly started. At first it was working fine. I have all brand new stuff not a week old.

Check the ground from the HU. Everytime you install a aftermarket HU never use the radio's ground, make a new one away from everything. If that doesnt do it then you either have a leak in your power wire going back to the trunk. Check to make sure engine heat didnt melt the power wire rubber insulation!

Yeah I will have to try that. We didnt do that so if that does not work. I will be very sad. What happened was I was sitting there playing a game with my friend. Suddenly a thump and then the noise came on. Can it be the HU? Is it a rare case that a brand new Pioneer6400cd cause this? Cause I need to find out if its the HU so I can send it back to the company before the 30 day warranty is up. That way I dont have to send it back to Pioneer

I have a 95 honda accord 4 door. I have 2 audiobahn 1200 q and hifonics brutus 1500d and I have 4 gauge wiring. Yes the HU is grounded dont know about big 3. GAins are down on amp. We have tried alot of stuff and think its the HU so Im prob going to send it back. Do you think that will fix it although it was a brand new HU. A Pioneer 6400 cd. I was just playing Xbox then a thump came over the system and it started from then on thats why I think its the HU. Plus cause we have tried everything in the book.
