OT: Whats the deal with 1 wiper?
I thought Id ask in this forum since alot of type R owners road race their cars...
Ive alwasy wondered...why do the road race cars only have 1 wiper sticking straigt up on the windshield? Why not have 2 wipers...and why not have it "down" lik normal wipers?

Don't forget that on a real race car (unlike itr216 or whoever';s (501? I forget)) you only need to have a clean windshield on the drivers side.

I don't know how accurate GT3 is but they have a couple of cars in there with one wiper. The Mercedes race car comes to mind. I think this is to prevent the wiper from ripping off the car. Now if you're talking about daily-driven cars with one wiper, then I have no explanation for that.

I used to do that 1 wiper deal. Its real ricy. I put everything on my car as close to stock looking as possible. Got rid of my clear tails, stickers, etc. for the clean look.

You guys are WAY OFF on this... you want to know the real reason?
The reason is to blind the traffic behind them with the extra squirter that doesn't have a matching wiper.
So, when they squirt, only the driver side gets cleaned up and the passenger side fluid flies to the traffic behind him.

The reason it is slightly resting higher is so when they are on it wipes the whole windshield. IMO it looks good but not on a type R.

Your windshield should NOT get that fuggen dirty in ONE race to warrant the other wiper working. It's a small degree of weight savings sure, but every bit counts on a car used solely for racing.

BTW, ITR206 FAST94GSR went up to see your car.. but someone didn't show up. I know.. clutch wasn't broken in and all that stuff.

well i only got one time run before eliminations
i took it easy and launched at 5000 and hit a 2.0 60ft
and 14.0 all motor
so i just dialed in at 14.0and went with that for elim .
im going to atco on the 17th i think it is to hit high 13's with this set up
im selling the nos though
i dynoed it on sat and found out my a/f gauge was wrong and i was really lean ,
but with the nos i put 230 to the wheels
without the nos , i put 170 to the wheels
so im gonna go all motor now to try and get high 12'sall motor and street legal.
i took it easy and launched at 5000 and hit a 2.0 60ft
and 14.0 all motor
so i just dialed in at 14.0and went with that for elim .
im going to atco on the 17th i think it is to hit high 13's with this set up
im selling the nos though

it wont work right with the dry nos, there is fuel dist problems with those kits ,???
