ok i need a new tranny third gear is gone. what would be a better on to use and how much do they run for prices?

 

if you got an f series engine, just use an f series tranny... no sense in an h22a on a slow engine... and they usually go for around 200

 

whats wrong with using an h22 tranny? and also would it bolt right up.

 

h series tranny has shorter gears. f series has longer. so f would probably be good for turboing while h would be good for all-motor.

 

oh and they both bolt straight up.

Just to let you know, those shorter gear (h trans) would to beat the hell out of the motor that doesnt design or happy to rev like a dohc motor.

if you got a f22x they just go to a junkyard and cop a f22x tranny


h22a or h23 tranny i will not only make ur f22ax rev high as **** (80mph = 4K rpms on a h23) but will eat your gas up like a mother ******.. not worth it at all

Correct me if I am wrong but the hseries trannys will make the f series engines rev faster wont they?

Negatives=lower mpg, lower top end speed,5th gear grind risk. Positives=acceleration improves giving better 1/4 mile times.

 

the F22 tranny has the same 5th gear grind risk

you can do what we did and use the F22 tranny housing and gear setup with a H22 Final drive

 

well guys thanks for all the help and suggestions my dad bought me a new tranny he owns a car dealership and he got one shipped there in a day i am puttin it on thurs thanks though

 

got the tranny in the accord tonight went and tested it i can chirp them in third ****** crazy works ******* awsome did it in 3 1/2 hours
