I have a 95 accord the compressor clicks on when a/c is on and the idle adjust it's self as it should. It has freon in it, but it blows hot air.

I turn the controls to hot just to make sure that the control is working and it gets hotter so it does, but the air is still hot. Can someone help me out on this one?

 

this might sound like a dump question, but are u waiting??......the AC wont blow cold untill the engine warms up and the compressor has "conditioned" enough air.....keep in mind the AC doesnt make cold air, it takes out the humidity...(less humidity = cooler air)

BTW: i thought freon was banned in like 1990

 

hmm..well, if your waiting for it to get cold and it doesnt check to see if the condenser clogged with debris. start at the obvious places.

 

Yeah, A/C won't blow cold air immediately. I always wait a minute before I expect cold air. And that's at highway speeds.

 

that sucks, mine does it too. i tried charging it and it didnt work.
