The great piston debate... Toda, CTR, or Endyne?
Pro's and Con's for these pistons in all motor application (b18c5)?
I'm sure we all have our favorites for different reasons, so post up why...
Some things to consider are cost, power they produce, drop-in-ability, and of course name branding...
Let's hear it fellas!

pistons are pistons. depends how much you want to spend and what comp you want to run.
This thread could be enlightening..
Regards,
How could this possibly be true? Are you suggesting that I could swap out my pistons for pop cans and I couldn't tell the difference?
i personally favor the CTR's, maybe because i feel safer with OEM parts and the give great performance gains
F*CK Endyn!
F*CK Endyn!
Endyn pistons are made by Wiseco. They are very high quality forged pieces that have been hand sanded by Larry. They are much lighter than stock and with forged rods create great reductions in rotating mass - which is always good for any motor. I weighed the stock ITR piston/rod and compared it to the Endyne RW and Eagle Rod and found a 100 g weight saving per cylinder - which is substantial.

The toda pistons have the machined sharp edges so the Endyn pistons would save you a step. I know from experience that sharp is not the way to go with pistons.
Forged pistons always have better durability. CTR pistons are best bang for the buck.
Endyn pistons = Weisco the differences is that Endyn sand down the sharp edges of the pistons so they will be no heat spots. You can do it yourself with any forged pistons.

You guys do know that there's more to pistons that just compression right? There's dome design, material properties, skirt length, etc. The dome design effects how the mixture swirls in the combustion chamber, material properties dictate how it runs and how long it lasts (most expand and make a lot of noise when cold and slap around), and skirt length affects piston speeds.
I'm not doubting that the Endyne R/W's are good pistons.
I run CTR pistons and for the money I think they are a good way to go. Sand the edges down your self to prevent the hot spots and you'll be good to go. It really depends how serious a racer you are or if your just a street racer/weekend warrior. By lightening the reciprocating assembly ie pistons rods, valvetrain your engine will spin a lot quicker. Sometimes its not only how much power your car makes but how fast it makes the power.

ctr have been recommended time and again - just like itr and ctr cams are recommended time and again...
But are the rollerwaves (wieseco + larry's design/ sanding) worth the extra few bucks?
Toda? I love the name, but slugs are slugs right?
Others? JE, etc?
