Who here has attempted to go through obd2 emmissions scan with a JDM Ecu?

Who here has attempted to go through obd2 emmissions scan with a JDM Ecu?
Just want to see the results. I am not in CA so all they check for is readiness codes and to make sure you have no check engine lights. I am thinking that I can get away with just using a jdm ecu.
