Default Rattling thread PT2

I have this rattling problem in my car. It happens at no specific time or anything. I could be sitting at a light in neutral and it will come and go, or it happens while i'm driving. Its honestly driving me insane. Especially when I'm at a light and people are wondering what the hell that noise is!

Most people say its the heatsheild on the cat... I took mine off, I thought it was my exhaust piping... i just got that redone because mine was all messed up. I dont have an exhaust manifold heat sheild, so thats not it. Its pretty damn annoying.

Any ideas? I'd really appreciate a solution.

Edit: I made this thread because I was getting no answers posting on someone elses thread.

could it be your exaust pipe at the axle back or it could be your shifter linkage if u install a short shifter....ive heard that was a cause of rattling before

Ever thought of it being your CAT?
Get underneath your car and hit your catalytic converter and see if you can hear loose particles.

If you can then replace your cat.

its definately coming from under the car... sounds like its from the right side but it might be directly under the car.

jack the car up

start it up

get underneath it

wait for the rattle

isolate it

voila...

seriously haha, my car made a rattle, while i was at the muffler shop, and the guy took some sort of stethoscope(sp?) to it, and there was a pebble in the cat.
