Default D15B7 Track Time, Should it be better suggestions

I have a 95 Civic Dx 4DR Sedan. Here is my setup
D15B7 (new motor I have put 26,000 on it. its all it has on it)
Injen Cold Air Intake (3.5" Pipe)
AEM Bypass Valve
62MM BBK GSR Throttle Body
DC Sports 4-2-1 Header w/wrap on it
No Cat
3 Degrees Advance Ignition Timming
NGK Iridium Plugs
Stock tires 175/70/13 with 35psi in it.
Installed a Strut Tower Bar After the run should help with traction a bit.
Ex Gauge Cluster. I almost forgot to mention about my stereo adds about 250lbs+
My problem is if I start slow the my 1/4' mile time sucks, but if I dump the clutch at 6800 rpm's this is when I ran the best 1/4' mile.
my time is 16.9 @Darlington, SC.
I am installing a fuel pressure gauge and fuel pressure regulator soon.
I will install Quafe LSD and SRR 4.9 soon also. How much will this help?

Try and launch around 3500-4000,and no more clutch dumps from 6800.Feather it out too get a better start. You can also try and lower yout tire pressure a bit.Just keep practicing.

I ran the exact same time with a D15B7 sedan with intake and exhaust. First of all your 60ft sucks ***. Lower your tires to 20psi...and then let the clutch out easy when you start. When your 60fts are in the 2.2's...thats when you know you're reaching the full potential of your car.

As far as modifications go, if you aren't going swap or turbo there are two very important things that you need.

1) D16Z6 or D16Y8 transmission. The MUCH shorter gear ratios will give a boost in acceleration.

2) A good cam. http://www.exospeed.com has a great lineup of street and race cams that will give you a good amount of power from your d15B7. You should also get a cam gear, fuel pressure regulator and gauge when you get a cam. An ECU upgrade is optional.

The LSD won't change anything, but the change in FD sure will. Especially if it's in a EX/Si tranny.

The Ex/Si and the Dx trans are almost the same. The only diffrence is the fd (which I am going to change anyway). Some of them had a .750 fifth gear mine has a .700. That is why I am going to use the dx tranny.

No they are not, I've had both transmissions and the EX's 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd shifts are so much shorter than the DX. Do yourself a favor and get the EX transmission first. I personally am not a fan of the 4.7 or 4.9 FD's because of the high cruising RPM's on the highway.
