stolen audio stuff...so i am looking for alternative..
SOmeone broke in and stole my amplifier, but was scared off by a witness before he could take my sub and everything else...
WHat i have left is a 12 in. JL W3 with box, and the capacitor. And I am thinking about selling it and replace my interiors with some nice speakers, and just hooking up an amp to just the interior speakers...
I have 2 rockford fosgate 3 way ( i think like 149.99 at bestbuy) sitting in my house and i want to install those, and replace the two other stock speakers, and power all four with an amp...
SO, my question, can i sell my jl and box and capacitor, and be able to buy another pair of speakers, and an amp to power them? and also...obviously it wont be as loud as the jl was, not nearly, but i never thought powering just the interior speakers made a huge difference, but i heard that just hooking an amp up to interiors can make a world of difference...is this true? what do you guys suggest?...I'd rtaher not just replace my amp because I am sick of all the break ins that happen around here....
also, should i buy the other set from rockford also? is it wierd to have to rockford 6 and 1/2 and say infinity 6 and 1/2's?
thanx

my advice is to sell everything and get a nice component set and a big 2 channel amp for the fronts. dont worry about the rear speakers as they wont enhance the sound.

1. Sell the gear and get a decent set of Compnents or Integragted Comp
Try http://www.mtxaudio.com...look into the outlet store. Great stuff at decent
prices.
2. Get a friggin' security system to protect your gear. Jeez

depending on your budget maybe
how much are you willing to spend are are you willing to try some fiberglassing in your car because a set of dynaudio's would sound great in some nicely constructed kick panels and an appropriate amp. i think the component set sells for a little under $600
