Hey guys i need some help i got some side markers and instaled them in my 94 civic and im having a problem with the wiring...i figured i could jus wire it up to my turn signal lights so they would blink...

turn signal lights had 3 wires (1) red (2) gree (3) black..

the side marker only had two metal prongs
so i wire the red and green together into one wire and connected it to one prong and the black to another..

so now....when i use my turn signal it acts like my hazard lights are on...both left and right flash..and when i turn my headlights on...my lights and side markers light up and i cant use my turn signals...help plz!!!

wire up the sidemarker to the green and a black (...1 each)

 

yOur lost 1 of the wires from the sidemarker is a ground yO if you want to do it the right way. To only blink when ur turn signal is on and not always on when ur parking lights are on.

actually can u varify the wiring again..cuz when i jus have only the side markers hooked up to green and black my lights work funni like they wont turn on..sorry i need more help

why would you use a relay?

 

so the side marker will not draw power from turn signals.

 

i guess, but it doesnt draw a lot of power anyway
