Best 195/55/15 Tire For Under $100.00 (Each)
I've searched this subject, and still havent found the answers I want. So why not do a poll to help me along with others.
I'll add the ones I've been looking at, and if you come up with a better choice go ahead and add it as well. The reason I'm looking at the less than 100 tires is because I have a baby on the way, and I dont want to spend any more on tires than I need to. I'm personally not looking for a street/track tire, but rather a nice all year around street tire.
The one that seems to jump out at me is the BFGoodrich g-Force Sport. Thoughts?

if you're lookin for a cheap tire i'm gonna guess you want one that lasts long too.
so based on that i'll recommend to you the kuhmo 712 because it has a crazy high treadware rating
its a bit loud imo tho, but not that much

Especially for under $60 a tire! I'd use them for a daily driving tire.

just bought a set of es-100's. I love them. They are quiet and grip great. I've had bridgestones, michelin, ect. on other cars, but these are my favorite tires.
I had the Dunlop FM901s, they were loud but pretty grippy. I liked them better than the Kumho Supra 712s. I want to try the ES100s, expecially at the price people are saying theyre getting them.

if he's looking for an all-season tire as he mentions, then the yoko es100 are not a good choice. however, the dunlop sport 5000 are a great all-season tire, but they only come in 205/50/15 for $105/each.
so how 'bout those michelin xgt v4 tires? i hear they're great.......

im convinced that they are made out of plastic, opposed to rubber after driving on some in a civic si.

I used the Kumho Ecsta's in 195 size for roughly 23k miles. Basically for a budget tire they are about a 6/10 overall in my opinion. Treadwear is very high so you can expect to get at least 30k miles out of these tires, but dry traction was fairly poor/average, wet traction was above average. I cant compare these to the stock Bridgestones because i never used them, but my current Kumho MX's in 205 size greatly outperform the Ecsta's in every category.
After the results of this poll so far, and discussing it with a couple of friends currently rolling the Yoko AVS ES100's I went ahead and got them. 264 shipped from Discount Tire.
For everyday normal dry street driving, the Kumho 712s work great. Cheap, not much road noise, good treadwear life. Kinda slick in the rain, and dont even try to drive with them in the snow. Ive beat the hell out of mine for about 30K, and they are just now down to the wear bars. Average driving and Im sure they will last much longer.

I have absolutely no understanding of why people are still voting for the Kumho 712. I stand by my statement, by far the worst "Performance" tire i have ever owned.
ES100's or Azenis
Only two tires that'll ever touch my cars, until something better comes out.
