I have 2000 civic si and lately there has been a problem with it that occurs every 2 weeks or so.

While i was driving home i took a turn for my street and the car stalled out and the check oil and battery light came on. so i shut down the car and started it back up...no problems. i was due for an oil change-so i took care of that hoping that would fix it all.

on the way from the oil change i noticed the car had a pretty rough idle...though it hadnt fully warmed up yet...i figured that was the cause of it. nevertheless, while taking a corner... the same problem happend again.

I cant figure out what would cause it. Any ideas?

 

how many miles are on your car? The way it sounds, you might have a clogged fuel filter....but need input.....

 

not many.

im at 25,000 miles.

 

are you getting any CEL indications in regular driving? it sounds like a fuel problem because it happens when you are in a turn....

 

nope no cel.

car just shuts down. the only indicator lights that turn on are the battery and oil light.

so after i start it back up again..no problems. well until the next time.
