type s dyno power?
my friend put down 169whp with a mugen air box and comptech catback..he said it's pretty low and he is really dissapointed. What should it really put down? What does a stock type s put down? Thanks guys
is the Type-S really that low powered? i cant imagine that much of a power loss from the flywheel to the ground. i was thinking around 175-180whp STOCK, and SUPPOSEDLY a I/H/E combo is suppose to give you 15-20whp...so shouldnt that put the Type-S right around 200whp on stock internals with I/H/E???
someone please clear up the confusion....

most rsx-s dyno in the 160-170 whp area. My mods are in my sig and I dyno'd at 194.9. All dyno's are different, but try and get a baseline and use the same dyno. That way you will know how much you improved.
dynos vary so much on technique and the computer of the RSX is so super-sensitive that you could get a different result from the same car numerous times
when I had SRI and exhaust I dynoed 161.....by the time the car was stolen, it was at 211/155 with the only internal modification being Type R cams
