Default 2001 Civic EX problem

My son has a 2001 Civic EX which had no owners manual. We do our own maintainence so we need to know how to reset the service light. Could anyone help us on this?
Thanks,
Stan V

Hmmm I used to own one and I did it a few times, but crap my memory stinks. - All I remember is you have to beat a time limit.

This is pretty old, but maybe I can still help. If it is the Check Engine Light, do this:

With the car off, press and hold the trip/odometer button for about 10 seconds. Keep Holding it, then turn on/start the car and voila, it should work.

Hope I could help.

I think you have to press the trip button then turn the key to on and it will stop after a couple of seconds. then you will turn it off then back on. It will flash agian but will go off like normal. Im pretty sure thats how it goes.

Maintainence Light : With the key in the ignition but in the off position, hold down the trip odometer button, then with the key in the ignition turn it into the 2nd position (the position it is in when the car is on) where all the lights turn on in the dash. The maintainence light should be blinking, while it is blinking continue holding down the trip odometer until the light stops blinking. Once it has stopped turn the car on while still holding the trip odometer and the light should stay off. Now you can let off of the trip odometer button. Turn off the car and turn it back on to double-check.

Check engine light: Take it to the dealer.
