Default F20A DOHC INFO?

has anyone here, done a f20a dohc motor swap into a 92 accord? i'm asking cause i'm planning on dropping a motor into my 92 accord because the motor already has over 200k miles on it. the only problem is i don't know anything about accords or it's motors.
will it be a a bolt on with no mods whatsoever? will i be able to use my existing ecu or am i gonna need the ecu that came with the motor? and one more thing, will there be any wirings involved? if so, can anyone give me a writeup on how to wire whatever is needed.

thanks in advance,

BeN

try the ecu that comes with it since it will provide the proper fuel and spark mappings.
it should be a direct bolt in though since its basically an f22 with s shorter stroke and an extra cam.

its actually f20b

read up on an h22a swap for the cb7... itll basically be the same. and as for an ecu, stock ecu (that is stock with the f20b) should work just fine. you might even be able to use a p28 or p13 or blah blah blah. ecu's are pretty interchangable. as long as they have the right programs in them to be able to control all parts of the engine that are available.

Hey, Just so you know, the F20b is an OBD2 engine and your car is OBD1. There will be more wiring issues this way due to the fact that that the ECUs are retardedly different. This means that your chassis harness and engine harness will have to be modified. I think that your best bet would be an OBD 1 H22a swap. Go to http://www.jdmsource.ca as they have great prices on H22 swaps. There is only one modification that you will have to do to the driver side motor mount. also the horsepower may be the same in both motors, but the H22 has more torque and a smoother power band. But for either swap you need the proper ECU. p72 or p13 will work for either. If you use the OBD1 H22, there will be much much less wiring.

that would be the f20a1.....NEVER heard of that being used as a swap......why not just throw in an f22b1??

ur probably gonna wanna use an ECU designed for DOHC + Jspec emissions..aka, the f20a1 ecu

the f20a is a dual cam f series engine with a shorter stroke. its makes more hp than a f22a. 150 to be exact. you could use your own harness. and if you need any parts, use the parts that come on the f22 dohc from the 92-96 prelude si.
