why is teh vx a "best" r/s ratio, im boosting the motor

The VX is not a good motor for boost. Period. It has weak rods, a weak block, and pretty much a weak everything else. Also, the transmission is horrid. Get a z6 or a y8 if you're wanting to boost the D.

Don't worry so much about r/s. It's not easily changed on the d-motors like the dohc. If you wanted to swap cranks, you would have to modify the bearing journals and thats expensive.

z6/y8 has the same stroke as an integra LS which may not be "ideal," but it works for a nice torque curve.
