Default question about clutch/tranny b series

ok well i have a 98 civic with a b20 motor swap well my question is this i blew up my cable tranny which i had the hasport conversion for well i wanted to get a hydro tranny and was wondering if i would have to get a different clutch cause i have been told that if the clutch was for the cable tranny it wont work with the hydro but i have also been told that all b series crap is interchangeable... any help would be very much appreciated..

If your cable transmission happened to be a 92-93 YS1, you can use the same clutch with newer hydro transmissions. If not, you will need a new clutch disc. Pressure plate should be the same. Throwout bearing will need to be changed either way to a hydro unit I believe.
