Oh crap, I've just been assuming that the mugen street suspension would work on my base. Is that not true? I might have to rethink my suspension setup

Look into the Tein SS or Tein Flex suspension. I have them on my type S and they are great. ( I have the Tein Flex)

You can get the SS for around 1200 and the Flex for like 16oo. Just save up the extra cash and get the Flex. Good luck.

mugen sport suspension will work on your base rsx. $1000 shipped from kingmotorsports, couldn't be happier with mine. search for mine (and others) explanation.

Yea but when you bolt it on, you don't have worry about anything slipping. so you never really have to check it.

This discussion is turning into one of coil-overs vs. non-adjustable suspension. So the argments on both sides, I'm sure have been covered and the info is not specific to the BASE RSX. I'm sure the coil-overs vs non-adjust thing has been covered elsewhere, this thread may not be the appropriate forum to discuss that issue...
