I just had a b18a swapped into my crx and everything went fine, but as of the past few days, the car has an erratic idle upon startup.
It starts off at a high idle, revs up as high as 3000rpm at times, then decreases. The idle fluctuates up and down, the motor revs up to around 3k, then drops to about 800, then revs again.
The high point drops as he car warms, it starts reving to around 1800rpm's.

This thing runs fine, but it didn't do this when I got it back from the mechanic, it just started, so my question is, whats causing this....a loose vacum line?, a bad sensor?, just a bad connection somewhere?

If this helps, I have a CRX si ecu( for now, I am going to change to a teg ecu ), this is in my dx.

my friends car was doing the exact same thing,,his problem was that a vacuum line was broken going to intake manifold

 

sounds like a loose vacuum line, or it might be the Idle Air Control Valve...

 

My guess is a vacuum line, as long as it's not throwing any codes...........

 

ITS THE IAC I HAD THE SAME EXACT PROBLEM WITH MY LS SWAP IF YOU WANT SPECFIC DETAILS GIVE ME A CALL AND IL EXPLAIN 757 422 0910

 

could be a ground...that was the case with my crx it seems.
