what have you guys seen whether from a dynojet or a bosch roller or mustang dyno.
the most allmotor power from an S2000 at the wheels, stock or modified. I need to know so that I can compare my goal.
thanks
greg

its not the dyno your asking for but on our engine dyno our stock engine out out 242 at the crank and like 160 ft/lb of torque at the crank
depending upon what year s2k u have....these results are from what ive noticed and seen
stock form:
00-01 = about 195-200rwhp
02-03 = about 204-208
not sure about the 04 models....i havent even seen that many dyno graphs of heavily modded s2ks....im in the same boat as u...i am curently waiting for my aem ems and my toda spec a cams...as far as other mods i have a toda header, T1R exhaust and spoon air duct w/ JR filter...with everything tunned correctyl i hope i can get at 230rwhp...with a head port and maybe a spoon head gasket to bump up the comp a lil maybe a lil more..time will tell

yeah I have seen the difference in output between the 02/03 vs 00/01 ... those are stock numbers, I'm more interested in numbers from actual people with (significant) mods on the car, maybe pushing something like 220whp ... I'm curious to see what this thing can do all motor. I have a few things to put on the car but havent dyno'd it (mine's an 01), trying to see what ITBs, AEM EMS, toda header and testpipe/exhaust would do to the output.

isnt vapor pushing 230whp from ems, and bolt ons? not sure what dyno he was using though...
dont quote me on that though...

Greg, are you familiar with a guy named Dan in NY metro? He posts on s2ki under turbo_pwr. He has an itb set-up and was tuned by Shawn Church. I don't remember the numbers off hand, so you may want to check on that

I remember Vapor saying he gained ~30whp with a simple filter on a stick, Toda header, custom exhaust and AEM EMS tuning.. I could be wrong however..

check this post on s2ki.com he hit 220rwhp with just a spoon header and amuse exhaust...maybe some slight tuning and an 02 ecu

**** if u can get that much power with just simple bolts on i cant wait till i get my T1R exhaust and toda header on...
and Dan (turbo_pwr) from s2ki didnt get the gains he wanted from the ITB's...i feel the only way to see huge improvements from the ITB's is with some serious head work and the bottom end totally rebuilt...

acintegman, I see Dan posting but never really found out his setup, so he is from NY but dyno'd at Shawn's in CA ?
I'm curious to see what the 02/03 ECU does with a header/testpipe and exhaust on a stock 2001 motor ... then I'll put some Jenvey ITBs which I'll borrow off my CRX racecar in case it doesn't work I just take them off.
I'm trying to figure out how much head milling I can get away with on the f20c head as well as two layer headgasket to bump compression a bit. All this with stock cams and vlavetrain, one day I'll hopefully find a good deal on the Toda stuff for cheap and get that ... but witht he YEN the way it is, SCREW THAT !!!

i dont what the hell happend to Dan's post on his ITB's...i searched and couldnt find it...but UL came to NY to dyno Dan's car like a month or 2 ago...here go some other post about ITB's on an S2k
i think his setup includes:
Toda Ported head
Toda V1 spec a cams
toda valve springs
ITB setup
bottom end stock ( i think)
amuse header & exhaust
aem ems

lol greg, not in my own league. I'm at 240whp on a dynapack, 2 other guys hit higher numbers, one at 250whp. No internals swapped or changed, all bolt on's with tuning.
In terms of the ITBs, it can make power on it's own but at a cost of tuning galore. However, the rest of the motor needs to be built for it and at that point, every mod compliments each other and you need each mod for the total package. I wish I could've told Dan what he was getting into in terms of performance instead of the bling factor.

I was putting out 241hp on UL's dyno a couple of years ago. Factory intake & exhaust, Mugen ECU.

which header, testpipe ? stock bottom end and head ? stock cams ? what kind of dyno ? what kind of torque ? do you have a graph ?
thanks

i believe Honda Tuning has a article a couple months ago about a 2000-2002 S all motor putting down 250whp ?? still just a guess i will have to look later as i am not at home
Thats impressive Vapors. For the states anyway. I thought the ASM S2000 and J's Racing were putting down 260-280 hp to the wheels? They are both NA and very light weight.. I know the Spoon S2000 put down like 220 hp but its tuned to a tee for the track and the weight is way down in the 2300s...
BTW you were right about not needing to upgrade the brake master cylinder for my new Endless race 6 pot kit... Thanks again for the heads up...

i'm assuming thats not peak hp. it has to be midrange because i have seen that. 43bhp peak would be insane
