Default In the process of hiding some engine bay wires....

....and I'm bout to give up. Good lord my ef has soo many wires. I've ran some stuff where the wiper arms to there work and had to cut and lengthen/shorten some stuff at the same time. I don't think i'm gonna go much further, I still gotta drive this thing. I'll do more when I'm ready to paint.\

mucho props to those who did this already

It would all depend on where you reroute your wiring. But unless it's an electrical problem uh no...

It's not for those who need help- just lots of time and patience. There's no how to really. You can flip the injectors over, route stuff between IM runners, move stuff below motor, etc.

Run wires in fender wells, etc. EF bays aren't for this I think. I'm gonna have to add length to the wires if I wanna get it all hidden.

Same here.

I took a good look at my engine bay when I was installing my HIDs. Was able to hide those wires pretty easily, as well as the ballasts, and ignitors. But hiding anything else is a bitch to even consider doing.

I did quite a bit today. Lazy bum free mods since I'm jobless right now. On driver side shock tower all you see is the clutch cable now and the resistor box missing all other wires. Pass side shock tower fuse box will probably stay b/c a power screw is stripped out and i don't have a dremel to take it out. I'll do more if I continue to be job less. Also firewall is missing the emissions pieces, but relocated lower, not removed. I don't wanna kill my sucky air, nor mess w/my car's ecu thinkin.

Two nub questions:

1) When you say hide in the fender, you mean in the wheel well so they would be exposed to the elements? I don't work on hondas so unsure here...

2) How are you guys extending wires. Are you doing two cuts or just one? And how do you know what gauge to use, and you solder?

1) Yeah maybe in the wells, or through the body's fender subframe part. Wrapped in either electrical tape or plastic tubing makes me not too worried about doing that even without fender liners.

2) The one or two cuts would depend on where it needed to be done. One or two don't matter to me. I don't really know what gauge to use. I look at OEM wiring and match it up, usually smaller stuff is just 18. Solder of course, haha, butt connectors, that'd be a nice sight to see.

Check my garage, i really didnt do to much. I hid my headlight wiring harness, and tucked some of the vacum hoses underneath the intake manifold, and hit the main plugs under the battery, and moved the dist. plug to under the dist.

if you unloom the wiring harness on the passenger side shock tower, most of the wires can be routed in without doing anything cept for lengthening 2-4 wires and extending the battery wire to the fusebox inside.

I haven't found any how-to's floating around. Got my engine out the car and cleaning the bay real good. Time to start on my clean engine bay. Going to do some painting on the engine also and polish the header.
