Default New JRSC M62?

JRSC released the new charger for our car in which I already have. Anyone knows the difference in the new blower? From what I see its the New Fuel management that comes with the kit and new casing. I have not looked at the blower first hand due to it is on its way to my local speed shop. It is an M62 blower as i was told. Jackson Racing advised me that they do not support its blowers when you change out cams and pistons Their kits are designed to run safe at 6lbs with its new FMU. My local shop told the Jackson rep that H22A ringlands are weak and are known to blow with 6lbs of boost. Who are they kidding

6lbs of boost shouldn't be a problem, it's anything higher than 6-7 that will cause the problems.

you can blow up an H22 on 6 lbs, just like you can run safely on 10 lbs. Its all about fuel and timing... not enough of one, or too much of the other, and you've got yourself a broken piston.

I don't see anything on their website about an update to the kit.

Its not on their site, I was looking at import turner and I see the add for the RSX and Civics and the add says now Availlable for preludes. I went to my local shop who is doing the work. They called jackson and orderered the new kit. Its available for our ludes now. What I see is the power card jackson racing provides.. Im not going to use it due to me having a greddy e manage with display. I will be dropping the car off on Monday and I will keep you guys posted. My tranny is getting built too with my new rebuild kit that has been cryo treated.

So then the only real difference is the electronics provided with the kit, which will still suck.

So far thats what I am gathering.. Besides the new look thats all I can tell. Jackson said that If i change out pistons and what not that they will not stand behind it. They swore up and down that the new kit is really safe Im like hmm k.. I will ditch the power card. Looks like a new case to me.

Hahaha, they swore up and down that the original kit was safe, too hahaha! Now, granted, for many the original kit hasn't been a problem, but JR has refused to admit to the number of blown H22 engines that have occured.

Wouldn't it be around the same price just to swap in a 5spd tranny then get all that stuff done to the ss tranny. It's always going to be your weak link and I think with that setup you'd really benefit with a 5spd

Probably cheaper, but he likes the SS and wanted to do something different. Nothing wrong with that.
