Fluctuating Gas Gauge???
is there anyway to fix the infamous fluctuating gas guage?(needle going up and down a little all the time) sometimes it goes from likehalf tank to E real fast and sometimes back up... can you like reset it or anything? or is it just another thing with older hondas we have to put up with? searched and found a bunch of broken gas guage threads
no it is normal don't worry about it pretty much nothing you can do. The bobber in the gas tank is VERY sensitive and tat is what causes it to do it
yeah i figured thats the way it would be...do you know what causes it? is it just gas shifting around when you turn etc? or is it just old guages?
EDIT- ^^^ beat me to it, thanks for all the fast replies guys

Like Ricey said it's do to the gas tank sensor. Hence when you take a hard corner on a hwy on ramp your gas drops to E. You still have gas it's just fuel slush. Learn to ignore it.

And due to the incorrect labeling of thread titles, most of them are probally not able to be searched for. I've changed the title of this one so it will be able to be found.

My brother's 94 dx hatch does this but I've never had this problem in my 95 ex. Sometimes there will be a very very small fluctuation if I'm cornering hard but that's due to the centrifical force moving the gas in the gas tank and not the actual sensor. When I go up steep hills or down them for that matter I never get a fluctuation.
