need quick answer or Opinions...shiflinkage...
what could make the shift linkage not fit almost perfect? the mount on the crossmember? or the braket? I think it might be the braket cause I had two, one was from an automatic and the other from a manual. It is not shift linkage error because the whole swap came off the same year integra. The problem is that my gears in the shifter are not centered, the gears sit all the way to the back.
lets say this is a normal shifter (------), the dashes means neutral, my neutral is here (_ _ _ _ _). what i was about to do is cut the shift linkage but if its the braket doing this I can replace it.

well if your confused you have a problem of your own. I have two brakets one was from a automatic and the othe was manual. would the braket matter in this problem? The car was never a automatic and the shift linkage came with the whole swap from the same year integra.
You need to explain better, your post makes little to no sense.
Which bracket? The one that holds the shifter itself, or the one that bolts the shift linkage to the chassis?

you should be using the longer of the two brackets
one has a slightly larger offset between the tranny mount bolts and the crossmember mount.
sounds to me like you have the auto bracket in there
