high rpm shiftin my exhuast shoots a 3 inch flame.
Ok here is the story I was racing a accord and burned him. Then he comes up to the light and hes asking what i got under the hood. Then he says did you buy one of those flame kits for your exhaust i was like hell no wtf you talking about. He said when i shifted into my next gear is shot a flame out like 3 inches. I was like whoa wtf. Then i was on the highway with my freind and hey told me it does the same thing. I have a jdm h22 bolt ons, no cat. It only happens when i shift at like 7500. I was thinking its cause i am running rich maybe. Please help i dont know if this is a good thing or bad.
sweet skyline.
your back firing, thats why its shooting flames. it is bad for the motor to back fire. are you running open header? or have a leak somewhere in your exhaust? check everywhere from your header bolts to your muffler.
